ITA streamlines train-plane travel to Rome Fiumicino airport
Italy based ITA Airways has upgraded its intramodality connections for travelers departing from Rome.
Passengers arriving at Rome Fiumicino airport by train with an onward ITA Airways ticket may check-in and drop off their luggage directly at the station.
This can be done at the dedicated FCO Connect desks serviced by Swissport.
It is valid for holders of tickets to all destinations except the US and Israel.
It is a joint initiative by Aeroporti di Roma, ITA Airways and Trenitalia.
Combined train-plane tickets can be purchased on all ITA Airways’ digital channels, at partner travel agents and ITA Airways ticket offices.
Combined tickets are also available for purchase abroad travelling by train in Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the UK.
Thanks to the partnership with Accessrail, ITA Airways passengers may travel with Renfe via Madrid and Barcelona.
UK travelers can go use North East Railway, Great Western Railways, National Express and Avanti West via London.
It is also valid via Zurich and Geneva, and via Amsterdam and Brussels.
