Ponant opens India office
PONANT is opening its first office in India to support the growing demand for luxury cruises in the country.
Leading the new office is Manish Sonar, PONANT’s newly appointed National Business Development Executive for India and Sri Lanka.
He brings years of experience in the luxury travel from hotels to tour operations and travel management.
He previously sailed onboard PONANT’s fleet in the Arctic and Antarctica as a tour host for Indian guests between 2017 and 2019.
He will provide both business and customer support, through local sales assistance to the line’s trade partners. plus local customer services for passengers.
The new office becomes PONANT’s tenth and the fourth in the Asia Pacific region.
It has offices in Shanghai, Tokyo and Sydney.
“With the pandemic officially behind us, our travel partners are seeing record-breaking enquiry for luxury expedition cruises,” Manish said.
Le Jacques-Cartier operates various sailings in the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka, and India, visiting Colombo, Cochin, Goa, and Mumbai.
The vessel is the sixth of the Explorers series, carrying up to 184 guests.
