100 kiosks bring rental cars to New York streets
Hertz has rolled out 55 ExpressRent kiosks across New York City, allowing travelers (and locals, too) to complete the entire car-rental transaction 24 hours a day.
By early next year, Hertz says, it will double the number of kiosks in the city to meet the Big Apple’s "high demand for easily accessible rental options on short notice."
The kiosks, available inside parking garages and other locations, offer one-way rentals to and from New York airports, in addition to other services.
The kiosks can handle the entire transaction electronically, checking the customer’s driver’s license, accepting payment, and printing the rental agreement, or customers can speak with a live agent through the screen.
