18 more Hilton hotels to be sold
Hilton Group is selling off 18 hotels in the UK and Ireland including the Gatwick Hilton.
The chain is making the disposals after exchanging contracts for the sale of 11 properties for £111 million.
Hilton said in February it was considering further disposals worth between £300-£400 million.
The lastest batch to become available include the Gatwick property and the Hilton London Olympia. Others are in Aberdeen, Basingstoke, Belfast, Bristol, Bromsgrove, Coventry, Dartford, Dunkeld House, Edinburgh Airport, Newbury, Newport, Southampton, Strathclyde, Swindon and Templepatrick.
A statement said: “The number of hotels being sold is greater than initially expected reflecting strong indications of interest from potential buyers. The preference is to sell the hotels with a long-term management contract, although offers for vacant possession will also be considered.”
