A prickly garden in South Africa
Soekershof; Private Mazes & Botanical Gardens in South Africa is the only garden in south Africa which boasts with a collection of more than 2400 different -registered- succulent plants species from all over the world OUTDOORS and not under cover of a roof or shade net. Around 900 of these plants originate from Souther Africa; the rest (including cacti) merely from the American continent, Australia, Europe and Asia.
The cultivation of these plants is fully organically.
The garden is highly acclaimed by botanists and horticulturists of fame. Locally Soekershof is especially known for its huge maze with visualised local folklore towering above the hedges as orientating beacons.
