A quarter pack a week in advance
Over a quarter of holidaymakers (27 per cent) are so desperate to get away that they pack their bags at least a week before their holiday, according to a new survey.
Women, at 37 per cent, were twice as likely as men, at 18 per cent, to pack in advance.
The study, by Jet2holidays.com, also found that nearly a third of people, 31 per cent, repack at least twice, with the average Brit taking one hour, 16 minutes to get their holiday gear together.
Most of us are neat, with 75 per cent choosing the classic method of rolling and folding clothes, with 13 per cent just squashing items into bags and nine per cent simply chucking their clothes in a case.
Only four per cent class themselves as minimalists, leave plenty of room in their bags for purchases abroad.
