AA attendants to get ‘phablets”
American Airlines will be giving its flight attendants 17,000 Galaxy Note tablets in 2013, reports Mashable.com.
The Android smartphone/tablet-computer hybrid is also called a "phablet" and was introduced last year by Samsung.
Flight attendants will use the Galaxies to access customer records and preferences in premium class and to help others with issues like connecting flights and flight delays.
The tech upgrade won’t happen, though until FAA gives AA the nod but the airline hopes to finish rolling out the products by the middle of 2013.
