AAA unveils 2004 preferred partners
AAA named 23 tour companies, cruise lines and air consolidators as preferred suppliers for 2004.
Cunard Line and Insight Vacations were among new additions to the program, announced at AAA’s Travel Conference in Bonita Springs, Fla.
Said Sandra Hughes, AAA Travel vice president:
“These partners offer a broad cross-section of travel options — from luxury cruises and grand international tours to discount air fares and budget-friendly weekend getaways.
AAA has more than 1,000 full-service travel agencies.
With more than $3 billion in sales last year, AAA says it is the eighth-largest travel agency in the US in terms of sales.
AAA and the following travel industry companies have signed preferred partner agreements for 2005-07 (Note: ‘*’ denotes new partner; ‘**’ indicates 2003 Preferred Partner of the Year winner.):
- Air Consolidators: DER Travel, Premier Gateway**, Air by Pleasant
- Cruise Lines: Carnival Cruises, Celebrity Cruise Line, Cruise West, Crystal Cruises, Cunard Line*, Delta Queen Steamboat Company, Princess Cruises, Radisson Seven Seas Cruises, Royal Caribbean International
- Tour Companies: Contiki Holidays, DER/Avanti Destinations, General Tours, Grand Canyon Railway, Insight Vacations*, Pleasant Holidays, Tauck World Discovery, Trafalgar Tours, Travel Bound, Travel Impressions, Universal Parks and Resorts Vacations
Agreements predating the 2004 process and expiring December 31, 2007 or later: ATI, Disney Cruise Line**, Holland America Line, Walt Disney Travel Company – Walt Disney World, Walt Disney Travel Company – Disneyland Resort**
