About.com and Kayak.com entered a multi-year agreement.

About.com is a source of original consumer information and advice. Kayak.com is a comparison shopping and travel site created by the co-founders of Orbitz, Expedia and Travelocity.

The agreement provides for Kayak.com to provide easy access in its travel search engine to visitors to the About.com Travel and Cities and Towns channels. More than 22 million consumers visit About.com each month to access 23 content channels.

“About.com is committed to giving our users practical solutions to everyday problems,” said Michael Daecher, senior vice president of About.com. He added:

“Kayak.com is a perfect complement to our existing travel content offering comprehensive access to flight information and other travel deals in addition to the insight and advice from out travel guides.”

Steve Hafner, Kayak’s CEO and co-founder, said About.com is a top 10 Web property used by one out of every five people on the internet.

“Advertisers who use our patent-pending Kayak Network will now benefit from even more qualified deals that we will enjoy from our agreement with About.com,” he said.
