ABTA appoints two new board directors
ABTA has appointed two new board directors – returning Roger Allard and long-standing retail member Daniele Broccoli.
Roger Allard, executive chairman of All Leisure Group Plc, returns after previously serving on the ABTA Board.
Daniele Broccoli, director of Britaly Travel Limited, has served on the ABTA Board since 2006, having been elected by ABTA retail members.
ABTA chairman John McEwan said: "Roger brings a wealth of industry experience to the ABTA Board, including a deep understanding of the cruise sector.
"His knowledge of financial protection will be invaluable as the industry continues to face regulatory reform.
"The Board recognises Daniele’s strong contribution and commitment to ABTA.
"By appointing Daniele we are able to retain his expertise, while opening up another Board position to the independent retail sector of membership".
The appointment of Roger Allard will take effect from February 1, 2013, and that of Daniele Broccoli will take effect following ABTA’s AGM on April 24, 2013.
