ABTA to hold UK roadshows
ABTA is embarking on a series of member roadshows in the UK starting in Birmingham on March 8.
The roadshows, entitled TalkingTravel, will take in five further cities throughout March and April. The events are free of charge and also open to non-ABTA travel employees.
The full roadshow dates are:
8 March 2007 – Birmingham
13 March 2007 – Belfast
15 March 2007 – London
22 March 2007 – Bristol
27 March 2007 – Manchester
4 April 2007 – Glasgow
ABTA chief executive Mark Tanzer said: “Our intention is to ensure that TalkingTravel are must attend events for ABTA Members and the rest of the industry.
“ABTA regional meetings were in need of a revamp and we are introducing exciting innovations and partnerships to make the roadshows relevant, useful and rewarding for ABTA members”
The roadshows will also feature presentations from The Passenger Shipping Association Retail Agents (PSARA) scheme in a bid to help ABTA members improve their knowledge and skills in selling cruises and ferry travel.
