Abu Dhabi and Trip.com seal tourism partnership
The Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi has signed a strategic partnership with Trip.com Group at Arabian Travel Market.
The partnership aims to promote the UAE capital as a top-tier travel destination in 13 markets across Asia and Europe.
These include India, China, South Korea, Japan, US, UK, Germany, France, and the Netherlands.
It is the first collaboration between CT Abu Dhabi and Trip.com Group.
Over a period of 12 months, Trip.com Group’s focus is to achieve 57,000 room nights in Abu Dhabi through marketing on its five channels.
These B2B and B2C subsidiaries include Trip.com; Skyscanner, Travix, a global OTA operating in 39 countries, Ctrip and MakeMyTrip.
HE Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General for Tourism said: “This partnership will share Abu Dhabi’s story with international visitors – beginning with the summer season and beyond.”
DCT Abu Dhabi and Trip.com will also introduce a global talent development programme to expand their industry experience.
A second initiative will focus on increasing awareness of Abu Dhabi’s sustainable tourism.
