Accommodation site adds flights
Holiday accommodation website Lowcostbeds.com has added flights with 11 airlines.
The company is offering budget, charter and regular scheduled airlines in addition to more than 1,500 properties.
Chief executive Paul Evans, who – as reported – this week predicted that major vertically integrated tour operators face a decline in business, said: “Our holidays are aimed at independetly-minded holidaymakers who are confident enogh to put together their own holiday at their own pace and who recognise a great deal when they see one.
“We have followed the low cost airlines’ example and stripped out any extras that our customers don’t vlaue and don’t need. For example, we don’t have reps in resort, but we do have representative offices for emergencies. We don’t offer organised transfers as we prefer to give the choice of booking a taxi or car hire to get customers quickly and efficiently to their accommodation.”
Lowcostbeds.com sells through more than 3,000 independent travel agents as well as online or by telephone.
