Accor adding first US independent hotels to online marletplace

Tuesday, 18 Nov, 2016 0
AccorHotels is expanding its presence in the North American independent hotel market by adding a collection of hand-picked hotels to the AccorHotels.com Marketplace.

Accor opened up its online platform to independent hotels in 2015, starting with Europe and Asia.

It now plans to add 200 new, independently-owned hotels next year across North America.

Hotels in New York, Chicago, Boston, Miami, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Toronto and Montreal have been selected.

Hotels join Accor branded properties on the platform and are selected according to specific minimum criteria including location, quality, and guest reviews.

The Marketplace currently lists more than 2,000 vetted independent hotels alongside the 4,000 branded AccorHotels properties.

By opening the AccorHotels.com Marketplace to independent hotels in the North American region, we not only provide these properties with the Group’s credibility, and customers with a wider range of hotel options, but we also ensure that AccorHotels continues to build influence in North America, assuring the Group’s growth in this region," said Romain Roulleau,  AccorHotels senior vice president of eCommerce and digital services.
