Accor nationwide offers Wi-Fi at low rate
Accor North America, one of the largest hotel chain owners and operators in North America, announced it has completed installation of wireless, high speed Internet access in its Motel 6 and Studio 6 properties nationwide.
The cost is $2.99 per 24-hour period. Accor says this is the lowest rate of any national chain.
“Accor contracted with AT&T to provide managed network services and teamed with Teledex to provide Wi-Fi equipment and support to more than 600 Motel 6 and Studio 6 corporate properties nationwide,†said Accor in a news release.
In addition to the more than 600 corporate properties, almost 200 franchise properties have also made Wi-Fi available to guests.
“Motel 6 is always striving to meet the needs of our customers, and we realize that Internet access is a necessity for many people in both leisure and business travel,†said Jim Amorosia, president and chief operating officer for Motel 6, Studio 6 and Accor North America.
Motel 6 is able to offer the lowest rate of any national chain because it avoids adding unnecessary amenities to its properties, the company says.
