Accor quartet sweat for a cause
SYDNEY – The travel industry has turned out in force to support Accor Hotel’s ‘Race to Survive’ event to raise money for Cure Kids Thailand.
Accor Asia Pacific PR executives Yvette Peverell and Rebecca Freestun will join Sydney colleagues Tony Gothard and Michael Smith on March 20 as they endure a gruelling four-day race across Phuket to support Yim Kids, a charity in Thailand that assists disadvantaged children and their families.
The Accor team organised a fund-raising wine and cheese night at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth featuring food by Sofitel chef Andreas Donnerbauer, including a preview of the hotel’s new cheese buffet.
Several wineries donated their time and wine for the cause including Pooles Rock, Bimbadgen, Robert Oatley, De Bortoli, Glandore, Ross Hill and Balgownie Estate.
The team is being sponsored by travel partners RewardsCorp, Qantas Holidays, The Lido Group and AOT Group.
