Accor signs new Phuket villa resort
French hotel chain Accor has signed an agreement to bolster its presence on the Thai holiday island of Phuket.
V Villas Phuket – MGallery will join the MGallery Hotel Collection, and commands a hilltop location in Ao Yon Beach, which is about 20 minutes from Phuket Town.
It will feature 24 pool villas, five dining venues, a pool and spa and wellness centre.
"The hotel is an ideal fit for our MGallery brand as each hotel in the collection has a story inspired by the destination," said Patrick Basset, chief operating officer of Accor for Upper Southeast & Northeast Asia and the Maldives.
It marks an expansion of a long term collaboration which includes V Villas Hua Hin and VIE Hotel Bangkok.
The location of V Villas Phuket provides sweeping views across Chalong Bay.
Accor manages a portfolio of 36 hotels under the MGallery Hotel Collection across Asia Pacific.
In Thailand Accor operates 89 hotels with a development pipeline of 10 hotels scheduled to open within the next five years.
