Richard Sandlant, Director, Customised Research, AC Nielsen Australia reports “an upward trend in Australia and global online shopping, with the twice yearly global AC Nielson Online Consumer Opinion Survey finding Australia has one of the highest incidences of purchases online.
Australia ranks in the top 15 countries around the world and in the top 5 countries in the Asia Pacific region, with the survey finding that the vast majority of Australian internet users (87%) had made a purchase over the internet, compared to the global average of 77 percent.
The confidence in online shopping is reflected in Adrenalin’s exponential growth over the past two years, with online bookings and gift voucher purchases growing by 86%.
Managing Director of Adrenalin.com.au, Phil James say’s “consumers are embracing the convenience of online shopping, particularly over this festive season where they don’t have to worry about the stress of Christmas shopping at the large department stores”.
Adrenalin.com.au surveyed 13,000 of their members to help compile the Top 10 Christmas gifts to buy online.
