Advantage and Amadeus extend self-booking pact
Advantage Focus Partnership has extended an agreement to resell Amadeus’ managed travel solutions for corporations.
Advantage Focus agents will now be able to purchase Amadeus’s e-Travel Management Solution for a further three years.
The self-booking tool is already used by more than a quarter of Focus members and is compatible with all fares, regardless of which GDS system is employed.
The agreement includes a range of ongoing training and support workshops and services to ensure members are able to take full advantage of the technology.
Advantage business travel director Norman Gage said: “One of the trends that we’ve found in recent years is that people are increasingly looking to book their own travel.
“Amadeus e-Travel Management responds to this, offering customers a simple but effective tool that they can use themselves. At the same time, it also allows our members/partners to act more as consultants, providing expert advice – especially for complex itineraries.”
Amadeus sales director Julian Mills said: “In today’s challenging market, quality and value for money are at the top of everyone’s agenda.
“The Amadeus e-Travel Management tool allows agents to reduce their costs, helping them to offer their clients an even more competitive service. We are committed to continually enhancing our solutions to meet the changing demands of business travellers.”
