Advantage signs hotel commission recovery firm
Hotel commission recovery service Net Trans is to be used by Advantage Travel Centres.
As the preferred provider of hotel commission collection services for Advantage agents, the company expects to improve the rate of collection by 40%.
The deal follows a “noticeable” rise in the level of hotel bookings made by agents but concern that they are not receiving the commission due.
Advantage is the launch customer of a wider agreement between Net Trans and the Worldwide Independent Travel Network, of which Advantage is the UK member.
Advantage business travel director Norman Gage said: “The increased focus on booking hotels in recent years has highlighted a flaw in that agents are not receiving all of their hard-earned and well-deserved commissions.
“Advantage has signed Net Trans with a view to overcoming the hotel commission problem. With a proven track record and the capability to provide full consolidation of all hotel bookings and commissions, it makes sense for Advantage to outsource this service.”
