Advantage Travel Partnership to step up lobbying efforts with Labour government
The Advantage Travel Partnership has reacted to Labour’s landslide general election win, aiming to step up government lobbying efforts post-election.
On behalf of the UK Outbound Travel Group, Advantage CEO Julia Lo Bue-Said, says they are looking forward to meaningful discussions to raise the profile of the outbound travel sector as a key economic driver.
“The election results provide the UK Outbound Travel group with an opportunity for the new government to recognise the benefits of the sector more than it has been previously recognised.”
“We are looking forward to building on the meetings we have had to date with the new Labour team,” she said.
“As a group we will now continue with the success of our UK MP Engagement Program, inviting local MPs visiting our members up and down the country.”
The UK Outbound Group, led by Advantage, AITO and ABTOT has invited industry leaders to attend an industry-wide meeting to discuss the political engagement strategy post-election.
The meeting will be held at the group’s Westminster public affairs consultancy – FTI Consulting – in central London.
It takes place on Monday 16 September 2024.
