Adventure World Chile update
SYDNEY – Adventure World is working directly with its local ground operator in Chile to assist affected clients in the devastated region.
Marketing manager Neil Rodgers said that they were in the process of revising bookings and updating those agents concerned.
Adventure World will not be charging any cancellation fees and will request with their local suppliers on a case-by-case basis any cancellation fees charged under the tragic circumstances.
He also says that retail agents and all trade associates will be updated immediately more information comes to hand from ground operators in Santiago.
Rodgers said that LAN had advised that flights scheduled from Santiago to Auckland and Sydney will not operate today.
About two million Chileans are believed to have been affected by Saturday’s earthquake, the seventh most powerful on record and the worst disaster to befall Chile in 50 years.
At this time it is not known when Santiago International Airport will reopen for full operations, however LAN does have limited access to an alternate airport near the city.
These are the emergency enquiry numbers for LAN passengers:
In Australia: 1800 558 129 In New Zealand 0800 451 373.
