Aer Lingus revs up for Europe’s only direct Indianapolis route
Aer Lingus is gearing up for its latest transatlantic route launch,
The new direct route from Dublin to Indianapolis kicks off this week, offering connections via the Dublin hub from 10 UK airports.
Starting May 3, 2025, Aer Lingus expects the service to drive strong demand from the UK and Ireland.
It will launch with four flights per week.
One of the top sports destinations in the US, the city is home to the Indianapolis 500, as well as sports venues like Victory Field, Lucas Oil Stadium, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, and the NCAA Hall of Champions.
The 109th Indy 500 takes place later this month and is expected to attract almost 300,000 racing fans to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Aer Lingus is sponsoring the Rev Indy event at the famous oval racing circuit on the evening of the inaugural flight.
Indianapolis is also an important business hub.
Aer Lingus CEO, Lynne Embleton said: “This new direct flight is a significant milestone for our airline, bringing the number of transatlantic routes we fly to a total of 24.”

Customers traveling to/from the UK or Europe can take advantage of smooth connections with US pre-clearance at Dublin.
