Agents boost Amadeus profits

Amadeus saw its earnings rise 15% to €449 million in the first quarter of the year following a 2.4% increase in travel agency bookings to 141 million.
However, bookings for non-air products from travel agents were down 4% for the three months to March.
Net profits for the quarter rose to €217 million from €202.5 million a year ago.
