Agents key to cruise image
Royal Caribbean International has started using a newspaper tagline that says it recommends using a travel agent.
The company had huge banners on its headquarters in Miami during the Cruise Lines International Association’s recent cruise3sixty show. And planes flew overhead with banners thanking agents.
That came around the same time the company’s CEO said agents are a key to reassure customers in the wake of several disturbing incidents such as lost passengers.
“It is just one more example of the importance of travel agents, because they do understand what the business is about,” said Richard Fain, chairman and CEO of Royal Caribbean.
