Agents offered direct access to AirTrain rates
AirTran Airways formed a new partnership with AgentWare to offer agents direct access to Web fares via Trip Console and WebPoint low-fare search tools.
The agreement to provide AgentWare’s software will provide easy access to consumer, travel professionals and corporate AirTran Airways fares that might not be available via traditional distribution channels, according to AirTran, the low-fare airlines.
“The GDS deregulated environment dictates the urgency for travel professionals to gain access to Web fares and travel content that is largely unavailable in the traditional distribution systems,” said Ivan Bekkers, president and CEO of AgentWare. He added:
“Our partnership with AirTrain airways is a key to assisting professionals in securing a competitive edge by offering a comprehensive view of low fares offered by AirTran Airways and the ease of access to commissionable bookings using Trip Console and WebPoint.”
AirTran operates 508 flights a day to 45 destinations.
The Atlanta, GA-based AgentWare develops low-cost, distribution alternatives for the travel industry. It’s flagship products include Travel Console and WebPoint, which the company says empowers agents to collect data not available on GDS.
