Agents offered incentive to book Lufthansa combo
SYDNEY – Austrian Airlines has joined Lufthansa and SWISS in offering combinable fares from Australia – via Asia – to Europe.
Kai Peters, general manager Lufthansa Australia, said the combinable fares provided more destinations, increased seat availability and greater flexibility in travelling to, from and around the European continent.
Once in Europe, travellers can connect through five leading gateways at the heart of Europe – Frankfurt, Munich, Milan, Vienna and Zurich.
All fares to Europe via Asia are combinable on half round trip basis and will autoquote in the GDS.
Anil Rodricks, manager Australia for Swiss International Air Lines said the introductory phase of combinability has already shown positive results “and will go a long way in securing additional traffic in peak months by utilising our collective capacitiesâ€.
Austrian has also joined the airline group’s eXperts platform and will shortly participate in the eXperts plus loyalty programme – a fully automated tool that tracks agents bookings and awards points that can be redeemed at leading Australian stores.
Along with the introduction of the combinable fares for Austrian, Lufthansa and SWISS, Australian travel agents have the chance to secure a seat on the eXperts Academy Educational 2010.
Any two tickets ex-Australia issued on OS or LH equals one entry into the draw for a seat on the famil.
All entrants must be eXperts members and enter their ticket numbers on the eXperts website.
Tickets must be issued between March 22 and May 30 2010 to be valid.
