Agents’ training pack to ‘dispel cruise myths and misconceptions’
A training pack for agents designed to tackle key objections to cruising has been developed by Ocean Village.
Featuring a CD-ROM of latest ship Ocean Village Two, the pack aims to provide agents with a toolkit to identify and convert potential cruisers into bookers.
The 3,000 training packs are due to arrive with agents from Friday as the line aims to help frontline agency staff dispel traditional myths and misconceptions associated with cruising.
The line’s head of marketing communications Gill Haynes said: “This is a major initiative to help new agents get their foot in the cruising door.
“Half the agents out there get what Ocean Village is all about but for the other half we have a stack of practical, hands-on info and advice to give agents an extra shot of confidence when first timers come through their shop door.
“Newcomer couples and families are the lifeblood of Ocean Village and this pack explains why its informal holidays have become so popular with them and how agents can make the most of the opportunity to convince more to test the water – and earn themselves some great rates of commission at the same time.
“We’re hoping agents may find a bit of time before Christmas to have fun with the pack so they’re all set for the New Year rush when people will be looking for fresh travel ideas.”
The training pack also includes an agent competition offering the chance to win a case of wine.
