Agents urged to get on board with British Lions
Lions Rugby Travel, the official travel company of The British & Irish Lions, has launched a programme to sell its own product through travel agents for this year’s tour Down Under.
More than 20,000 fans are expected to follow The British and Irish Lions to Hong Kong and Australia for their 125th anniversary tour.
Range of packages include official match tickets, access to see the Lions train at exclusive behind the scenes training sessions in certain tour options, eve of Test match special events and supporter villages on matchday.
It will be incentivising agents with a commission programme and Louise Lee, sales manager for Lions Rugby Travel, said: "We have already had an incredibly positive response from agents who have called and this agreement allows them to offer their clients access to official Lions Rugby Travel packages for what will be one of the most memorable sporting events of 2013."
Travel and ticket packages start from UKP2,199 per person. The first match of the tour is in Hong Kong on June 1.
