Agoda names new CEO
Booking Holdings has announced the appointment of John W. Brown as new CEO of its Asia based OTA brand Agoda.
Brown has been Agoda’s chief operating officer since 2014 and takes over in the hot seat on June 1.
He has also previously served as chief product officer.
Brown replaces Robert Rosenstein, who will assume the role of chairman of Agoda and special advisor to CEO of Booking Holdings, Glenn Fogel.
"John has touched almost every facet of the Agoda business over the past eight years, actively contributing to the company’s strategy and expansion," Rosenstein said.
"Without question, John is the right choice to next lead the Agoda business, and I look forward to continuing to work alongside him chairman, along with Glenn as we look to develop our global strategy further."
Prior to Agoda Brown was a Principal in Boston and in Bangkok for Boston Consulting Group and also served as an economic advisor to the minister of commerce and industry for the Government of Afghanistan.
