Air Astana announces codeshare pact with Bangkok Airways
Kazakhstan flag carrier Air Astana has announced the start of a code share pact with Thai airline Bangkok Airways.
The new partnership will enable Air Astana passengers to seamlessly connect via Bangkok to a host of Thai holiday destinations in Bangkok Airways’ network, namely Samui, Phuket and Krabi.
Bangkok Airways becomes Air Astana’s 19th code share partner.
"Bangkok Airways has grown to become a highly respected Asian carrier with a comprehensive network throughout the region, and they have deservedly excellent reputation for service. Air Astana is delighted with a codeshare agreement, which will significantly enhance the links between our two regions," Air Astana CEO Peter Foster said.
Air Astana travellers connecting on Bangkok Airways flights will enjoy check-through service, lounge access and in-flight meals.
The Thai airline operates to 11 destinations throughout Thailand and an additional 13 international routes including Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Laos, Malaysia, the Maldives, Myanmar and Singapore.
"This codeshare agreement allows us to give Air Astana customers convenient, seamless access to Thailand’s popular destinations through this partnership," said Peter Wiesner, senior vice president Network Management at Bangkok Airways.
