Air Astana launches Diamond, a new elite frequent flyer level

Saturday, 14 Mar, 2016 0
Kazakhstan carrier Air Astana has introduced a new Diamond card status of its Nomad Club frequent flyer programme.

The new status will be given to existing Gold card members who have maintained that status for the last four years running by earning a minimum 100,000 flight points or by taking 125 flights a year.

Diamond card status comes with a host of exclusive benefits including free additional 25 kg of baggage, access to Air Astana Business Class lounges along with an invited guest, free upgrades to Business Class twice a year, double points awarded and unlimited purchase of bonus points.

"The Nomad Club Diamond card provides eligible members with exceptional benefits to recognise their loyalty to Air Astana over many years. This covers both the increased tangible benefits, as well as added recognition throughout their entire Air Astana journey," said Ibrahim Canliel, senior vice president of marketing and sales at Air Astana.

Nomad Club Diamond level also offers members the ability to check-in at Business Class counters, regardless of the class of service booked and membership is valid for two years.

Air Astana operates on 64 routes connecting 39 international and domestic destinations with a fleet of 30 Boeing, Airbus and Embraer aircraft.
