Air Canada introduces Covid self-testing
Air Canada is introducing a new self-testing program to streamline travel for customers. Passengers can buy self-test Covid-19 kits and test themselves while overseas before boarding their flight back to Canada.
Passengers self-test under the online supervision and get a digital report within 45 minutes. The Switch Health RT-LAMP Test Kit will be made available to Aeroplan Members first.
The airline says it meets government entry requirements without visiting a foreign Covid-19 testing facility. Currently, inbound travellers must present a negative molecular test taken within 72 hours of their flight.
