Air China to fly to Mumbai
Air China plans to launch the first route linking mainland China with Mumbai.
The airline said the Beijing-Mumbai nonstop service will commence on October 25, 2015.
Flights will operate four times a week on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, Air China said, using Airbus A330-300 aircraft.
The new service will bring the number of Asia Pacific routes in the Air China network to 17, and will increase the number of nonstop flights between China and India to eight a week.
Prior to this new route, the only way to travel by air between the two cities was via other Asia transit points such as Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong.
