Air France announces return to Dallas-Fort Worth
Air France has announced its return to Dallas-Fort Worth.
The carrier plans to relaunch nonstop service from DFW to Paris Charles de Gaulle, beginning next March.
Air France pulled out of Dallas following the post-9/11 air travel downturn.
We’re pleased to welcome Air France back to DFW Airport and bring more international flight service to the Dallas Fort Worth region," said Sean Donohue, airport chief executive officer.
"The new flights from Air France offer customers another convenient way to get to Europe for business connections or tourism."
Air France will operate the route up to five times a week on Airbus A330 jets with 36 seats in business and 21 in premium economy class.
The French national carrier will have direct competition from American Airlines which flies the route daily.
"With over 120 French-owned companies operating offices or other facilities in Dallas and Fort Worth, these new flights will strengthen our business ties with France and expand our capacity to travel between DFW and Paris," said Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings.
