Air France says strike won’t keep them from flying
Air France has released a statement to the press stating that despite a call for strike action on October 26 (Friday), they expect to transport all passengers. The airline says disruptions should remain limited to a few delays.
Other details the flying public should know:
Air France will make 6,500 members of its staff available to inform and assist customers as quickly and efficiently as possible and to limit the impact of this strike action.
Air France says that due to the busy school vacation period, customers should arrive at the airport early and to check in online at www.airfrance.us beginning 30 hours before their flight.
In the case of a flight disruption, Air France will directly inform customers by phone, SMS or e-mail.
In order to be informed personally, Air France advises all its customers to ensure they provide reliable contact details where they can be contacted during their trip (mobile phone and e-mail).
Passengers can give their contact details online at www.airfrance.us in the "View/modify your reservations" section, on the Air France mobile website (http://mobile.airfrance.com), iPhone, Android and Windows Phone "Manage my Flights – My bookings" section
This "AF Connect" service is free of charge and is available in 10 languages to all passengers worldwide. The confidential information will only be used to inform them in case of disruption.
The latest flight information for trips planned on October 26 can be found by visiting the home page of the Air France USA web site, www.airfrance.us, and clicking "FLIGHT INFO: Strike action on 26 October", bottom of main picture.
