Air France is extending its reach into Africa with the addition of five new destinations.

This winter the carrier, teamed with KLM and its African partners, will fly passengers to Bata in Equatorial Guinea twice weekly and to Kigali in Rwanda via Entebbe five times weekly.

It will offer flights to Freetown in Sierra Leone twice weekly next summer plus services to Monrovia in Liberia three times weekly, also from next summer.

Tripoli in Libya will also be served next summer five times weekly by Air France and daily with KLM.

Air France says it will also increase its services to Pointe Noire in Republic of Congo, Libreville in Gabon ( subject to traffic rights), Malabo in Equatorial Guinea and Dar Es Salaam and Kilimandjaro in Tanzania (served daily by KLM).

Air France and KLM say this winter will see a 4% boost in capacity.
