Air India to restore services
India’s national carrier Air India (AI) is expected resume most of its international operations by the end of this month.
The airline was forced to reduce its international operations following a 58-day strike by some of its pilots.
Flights will be restored to New York, Chicago and Paris, followed by Hong Kong and Shanghai, an airline official said.
Air India will also add more services to the Southeast Asian destinations by mid-August.
About 400 pilots went on strike to protest the decision to allow Indian Airlines pilots to train on Air India’s Boeing Dreamliners.
