Air Jamaica unveils new Business and Deluxe Economy cabins
Air Jamaica has unveiled a new Deluxe Economy Class with sleeperette seats and flat beds in Business Class on its London to Jamaica flights.
The carrier has dropped First Class, with its aircraft now in a 12-14-252 configuration in Executive Business, Deluxe Economy and Economy.
Executive Business passengers are being offered flat beds for the first time with an 84 inch seat pitch.
A dedicated Deluxe Economy cabin between business and economy has reclining sleeperette seats with a 60 inch seat pitch.
Economy continues to offer 252 seats in an eight abreast configuration with a 34 inch seat pitch.
Chief executive Michael Conway said: “Despite the current challenging and competitive environment, 2005 was our busiest ever year on the UK route, with an average load factor of 81%.
“We would like to thank the trade for much of our success as the majority of bookings are made by travel agents, and we hope to build on this moving forward.”
The airline is currently offering return Economy flights from £566.60, Deluxe Economy flights from £966.60 and Business class flights from £1,386.60 per person, including all taxes, fees and charges.
Agents can earn 4% commission.
