Air Mauritius drops three class service

A new business class seat is being introduced by Air Mauritius next month in a move away from a three-class configuration.

The seats will form a new business and economy configuration, offering newly designed angled flat beds and a luxury service in new business cabin, replacing the current first class, premium economy and economy layout.

He revamped layout will be available on Heathrow departures from July 1.

Air Mauritius will launch flights from London to Perth offering up to three weekly connecting services by late June both to and from Western Australia.

Stopovers are permitted in Mauritius in either direction.  The airline flies no less than five weekly non-stop services between London and Mauritius year-round.

The new business class cabin will offer lie-flat cocoon seats at 60-inch pitch, in a 2-2-2 configuration.

Offering 20-inch maximum seat width at seating position and 25-inch seat width at bed position, the new seats will also offer 75-inch bed length.

Additional special features include massage options, a cradle position, inflatable lumber pouches and a retractable privacy panel.

Business class seats will also offer a 10.4-inch arm-mounted LCD monitor, with both touch screen and handset control, a snake type reading light and in-seat power supply for laptops and mobile phone recharging.
