Air New Zealand increasing capacity to Bali
Air New Zealand is planning a big increase in capacity to Bali for 2020.
The carrier currently flies seasonally from Auckland three times a week to Bali-Denpasar from late June to mid-October.
From next year it will extend the season by more than two months beginning April 11 through October 24, 2020.
It will offer up to six services per week on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
"By extending our flying season by more than two months, ultimately putting on close to 50 extra return flights, it’s going to be easier than ever for Kiwis," said Air NZ cheif revenue officer, Cam Wallace.
Airlift continues to grow in Bali.
Last week Turkish Airlines inaugurated a direct service from Istanbul which also uses Dreamliner jets.
The Istanbul-Bali service initially runs three times a week and then will be expanded to a daily service from early August.
