Air Pacific opens up South Pacific destinations
SYDNEY – Air Pacific has introduced travel passes which allow international passengers arriving in Fiji to travel to other South Pacific destinations serviced by the carrier.
Called Pacific Bula Passes, they must be purchased outside Fiji in conjunction with an international ticket to Nadi.
They permit travel between Fiji and Nuku’alofa in Tonga, Apia in Samoa, Vila in Vanuatu, Honiara in the Solomon Islands and Tarawa in Kiribati.
Air Pacific’s general manager Australia, Victor Sharan, said that the new system would give greater flexibility to Australian business and leisure travellers.
He said that the passes would also permit Australian wholesalers to package multi-destination itineraries involving Fiji and other popular Pacific centres.
A two-sector Pacific Bula pass costs from US$99, four-sector from US$199 and unlimited from US$299.
The passes can be combined with domestic fares in Fiji, and are valid for 30 days but cannot be used for repeat destination travel.
