AirAsia cutting three international routes
AirAsia is ditching three routes out of its Kuala Lumpur hub in the coming weeks.
Flights to Surat Thani, Kalibo-Boracay, and Tehran are being suspended.
First to go is Surat Thani on February 25, 2018, then Kalibo-Boracay, Philippines on March 24, and to Iranian capital Tehran in April.
The airline gave no reason for halting the routes and all customers with confirmed bookings for affected dates have been informed.
The Tehran route, which operated four times a week, seems to have gone the same way as Thai Airways’ service, which recently said it would suspend Tehran flights citing low demand.
Last year AirAsia downsized its service to Boracay from daily flights to four a week.
