AirAsia signs up for Travelport Rich Content
AirAsia has become the first low cost carrier in Asia to sign up for Travelport’s Rich Content and Branding solution.
The Malaysia based carrier joins over 100 other airlines to use the merchandising technology including China Eastern Airlines, Delta Air Lines, British Airways, Singapore Airlines and Easyjet.
Rich Content and Branding allows airlines to control how products are displayed and marketed to travel agents.
"On AirAsia.com, we are very proud of the wide variety of options and add-ons we offer to our customers, clearly presented with detailed descriptions and highly illustrative visuals," said Spencer Lee, head of commercial, at AirAsia.
"We are glad we are now able to present our products in the same manner to Travelport’s global network using its Rich Content and Branding solution."
Travelport already has existing distribution agreements with seven airline affiliates in the AirAsia Group.
