Airbus earnings slump
Profits at European aircraft manufacturer Airbus fell 21% in the third quarter to €731 million.
The company revealed that profits of its commercial aircraft unit fell 26%, which it blamed on difficulties in the supply chain for its A350 and A320neo jets.
However, the company said its full-year earnings would be in line with last year.
It’s aiming to deliver 50 new aircraft this year, but in order to reach its target it will have to supply 24 in the final three months of the year, said City A.M.
