Airline commits to ‘lock in’ fares

Spanish budget carrier Clickair is enabling passengers to ‘freeze’ fares for up to 72 hours.
The ‘Lock your Fare’ initiative enables travellers to protect the rate via the airline’s website at a cost of two euros without worrying the fare is going to increase, according to the airline.
Marketing director Jaime Lloret said: “This tool has been especially designed for leisure travellers where they can ‘freeze’ the price of the best fare on the route they are interested in.
“This option gives them time to decide on the destination they want to visit, find the most suitable accommodation for their requirements and better control their budget.”
Clickair is in the advanced stages of a merger with rival Vueling. This is expected to be completed this summer.
