John , I realise that it makes sensational news but why is the media currently preoccupied with airline delays – the QF delay in PER the other night on top of JQ etc etc ? The industry has always had delays and in earlier years crashes , but thank God the latter are now few and far between . Why not report delays by country so at least the public don’t get the impression that Australia is the only place that suffers from such incidents . Why not report shipping delays , train delays , coach breakdowns , in fact any mode of transport that may involve a mechanical device . OK I work in the airline industry but lets get some perspective in what is becoming a total nonsense on the part of the media . The Wright brothers would have given up after their first flight if they had been subject to such neagtive press . Sorry , I cannot write any more as I have to answer a delay query . Cheers , Paul.
