Flights between Gatwick and Brussels are to be dropped by Brussels Airlines in favour of a service from Heathrow.
Brussels Airlines has stepped in to replace Bmi which is dropping flights from Heathrow to the Belgian capital on January 9.
The airline will run four flights a day to Brussels from the London hub from January 10 using as mix of Boeing 737, Airbus A319 and Avro RJ aircraft.
Network executive vice-president Erik Follett said: “In offering a service to and from London heathrow, we can give our passengers a better service, as well as better connections to our Star Alliance partner networks flying out of Heathrow.”
The carrier is also stepping up frequency between Newcastle and Brussels to three flights a day from January 10 in addition to providing an additional daily flight from Bristol, as previously reported by TravelMole.
