Airlines ground 2,000 flights due to Hurricane Ian
US airlines cancelled another 2,000 flights for Thursday as Hurricane Ian drenched large swathes of Florida.
Airports including, Tampa, Orlando, Melbourne, Jacksonville and Naples closed all operations Wednesday while flights further afield were impacted.
Out of state flights were disrupted due to a ripple effect from Florida.
So, far over 5,000 flights have been cancelled through Friday.
Orlando and Tampa Airports said hey could restart commercial flights on Friday.
Orlando theme parks could also reopen by Friday.
