Airports back to pre-pandemic volume, TSA says
The Transportation Security Administration officers screened the highest number of air travelers since February 2020
They screened 2.4 million people at airport security checkpoints nationwide on Friday, July 1. It was the highest volume since February 11, 2020, when 2.5 million people traveled.
This was despite hundreds of flight cancellations over the July 4th holiday weekend.
“We are back to pre-pandemic checkpoint volume,” TSA spokesperson Lisa Farbstein tweeted.
